Services

Everything we build for you stays with you.

Your newsroom sits on your own domain. The search traffic it builds over the years stays there — including the day you stop being a client. The same goes for your contacts. We distribute to Norwegian newsrooms, and you choose how much of the work you do yourself.

The portal is open to clients with an agreement. Get in touch and we will set you up. If you would rather send your story by email, we do the work for you, on the same split as the levels below. Tell us about your story →

The newsroom

Built together with you, on your own domain.

No two companies are alike. Your need is not the same as anyone else's, and a newsroom that is identical for everyone solves neither well.

The large platforms give every press release a permanent address on their own site. That is not a detail — it is half the value of sending a release at all. The story keeps being found in search for years afterwards, long after the news cycle has moved on.

But that value builds their domain, not yours. Every release you publish there strengthens the platform. You borrow the authority for as long as you pay, and it stays with them the day you leave.

We do the opposite. The newsroom is set up on your own domain, adapted to what you actually do, and built together with you. The archive, the search traffic and the links pointing to it are yours — whether or not you are still a client in five years.

It follows from what we are. The newsroom is built by Desken AS, which has made websites and worked with search since 2001. It is not a module we bolted on — it is what we did before we started sending press releases. About us →

Production

Three levels of production and distribution.

The division of work sets the price. You pay for what we do, not for a bundle where half of it is things you could have done yourself.

You can use our tools — or not. If you would rather write in Word and send us a document, that is entirely fine. It is the division of work that decides the price, not which buttons you pressed.

1

You write, we distribute

You write the release in the tool and assemble the recipient list. We send it out and report what happened — who received it, who opened it, what did not get through.

1 credit (NOK 2,000). Cheapest. Assumes the text is ready.

2

You write, we check it

You write the draft. We go through the angle, the headline, the lead and the structure, suggest changes and proofread it thoroughly. Nothing is sent before you have approved it.

2 credits (NOK 4,000). The most common choice. An outside eye before it goes out.

3

We produce it with you

We find the news in what you are doing, conduct the interview, write the story and send it. You bring the subject knowledge — we bring the journalistic form. If the material is in English, translating it and adapting it for Norwegian newsrooms is part of this level.

3 credits (NOK 6,000). For stories that deserve more than a release.

New clients start with a credit pack. 10 credits for NOK 20,000 excl. VAT, valid for two years from the order. You use the credits when a story is ready, at the level it needs. The credit pack and ordering → The terms →

Distribution

Where the release actually lands.

We distribute to Norwegian news desks, national and local newspapers, trade publications, news agencies and broadcast media.

Selection by topic and geography

You choose which subject areas and which parts of the country the story should reach. A local story sent to all of Norway is wasted on everyone — and it is exactly how a sender loses credibility with newsrooms.

Your own lists

If you have contacts we don't, you add them yourself. They are reserved for you, never mixed with our register, and they follow you if you one day stop being a client.

A report after every sending

Which newsrooms received the story, what got through, what was opened. Addresses that do not work are taken off the list rather than tried again.

We tell you when a story should not be sent

This is the one point where we deliberately work against our own short-term revenue, and the reason is simple: a sender who sends non-stories burns their own credibility with newsrooms. The next time you have something that genuinely is news, you have already been written off.

The large players charge per sending. Then there is nothing in the product that says no. We send through shared sender infrastructure, and we lose on every release that should not have gone out — which is why our interests and yours are the same here.

If you want to try before you talk to us, the proofreading tool is open at prm.no/en/check. It checks length, sourcing, headline, quotes and marketing language against the rules newsrooms actually use. Your text never leaves your browser.

Editorial help, whenever you want it

At any level you can ask for journalistic assistance in connection with a sending. That is usually where the difference lies between a release that gets read and one that does not.

A press release does not get picked up because it was sent to enough people, but because someone in the newsroom recognised a story.

What we look for

  • Is it news? Something that is new, concerns more than yourselves, and that someone can actually write about.
  • Is the most important thing first? A sub-editor reads the headline and the lead. If the point arrives in paragraph four, it does not arrive.
  • Can it be verified? Figures with a source, named people who can be quoted, and someone who answers the phone the same day.
  • Is it usable? Images at a usable resolution, correct names and titles, and a contact who is not on holiday.

What it costs

You buy a credit pack: 10 credits for NOK 20,000, or NOK 2,000 per credit. Each press release costs 1, 2 or 3 credits depending on the level, and the distribution is always included. Prices exclude VAT.

The pack is valid for two years from the order, and you choose the level for each release. If we hold a release back because it should not be sent, we do not charge for the distribution. We will say so if we think a lower level is enough.

The first conversation costs nothing and commits you to nothing. Tell us about your story →

Simple and safe

Simple because you decide how much you do yourself, and because there is only one place to deal with — the newsroom, the text and the sending belong together instead of being three suppliers.

Safe because the journalist register is kept properly and lawfully, because addresses that do not work are removed rather than retried, and because nothing is sent until you have approved it yourself.

What we do not promise is that the story will be published. That guarantee does not exist, and anyone who offers it is saying something they cannot hold to. What we do promise is that you will know what we think of the story before it goes out — including when the answer is that it should not be sent.

Is your story ready to go out?

Tell us briefly what it is about, and we will say which level fits — and whether we think it holds up.
